Our 2-Year Grant Project...

Our current two-year grant recipient is The POIEMA MOVEMENT.

The Poiema Movement provides up to 24 months of restorative care for women impacted by trauma and choices that have broken and shattered their lives.

The Poiema Movement delivers a safe place to live, case management services, restorative groups, assistance in obtaining employment, mentorship, and a strong support community. Their sober living homes are a peaceful refuge for women in recovery.

Over the past 18 years, our members have come together to raise and donate over $480,000+ to support programs, scholarships, organizations, education, resources, and special events supporting women and children within our community. We thank all members, past and present, and sponsors for contributing to this success.

Past 2-year Grant recipients include...

  • The 2018/19 2-Year Service Project is the Center for Children in La Plata, Maryland. The Center for Children is a private non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of positive mental health for children, youth, and families and the prevention and treatment of child abuse in Southern Maryland. Through therapy, education, and advocacy, they provide hope and healing.

  • The 2015/2016 2-Year Service Project was the Jude House for Women. We were honored to support this local program to help the Jude House and their gender-specific treatment for women as they transition from full-time residential substance abuse treatment to transitional housing facilities. The Jude House for Women helps residents with substance abuse treatment, psychological assistance, job training, domestic violence assistance, relationship difficulties, and more.
